Dr. Sayre-Carstairs
Dr. Sayre-Carstairs joined Coast Periodontics in 1995 and over the last 25 years as the dentist and practice owner, she has transformed the services this periodontal specialty practice offers the residents of the Central Coast. Primarily with the addition of the use of lasers both surgically and non-surgically, the change of the practice name – Coast Periodontics and Laser Surgery – better reflected the services she provides. Dr. Sayre-Carstairs has always been on the cutting edge of options for patients suffering from gum disease and prides herself on always trying to help periodontal patients keep their natural teeth. This desire has led to countless hours of continuing education around the world seeking the latest technologies to improve oral health.
Dr. Sayre-Carstairs is a graduate of Wellesley College in Wellesley, MA. Her BA degree is in psychobiology and her research focused on olfaction. Her DMD degree is from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. Upon graduation, Dr. Sayre-Carstairs moved to Los Angeles to begin the periodontal program at the University of Southern California. She graduated in 1988.
Dr. Sayre-Carstairs and her husband Greg, a life-long Central Coast resident, enjoyed raising their 3 sons and now enjoy watching their growing number of grandchildren explore the world.
